In this series I paint fragments of passion between two men.
There‘s so much we can never communicate with words.
Where bodies touch, they lay themselves bare before each other — and this connection lingers on, long after the physical warmth has faded away.
I paint these artworks digitally (all human, no AI) - but I hate the anonymity of „prints“.
So my workflow includes printing the artwork on fineart canvas, put it on a stretcher frame and embellish each piece by hand: I overpaint important areas with acrylic paint, often neon or metallic paint, to enhance the colors in a way no print can deliver.
Then I treat the artwork with UV varnish and overpaint it with structured medium for a painted three dimensional experience — each surface is unique and offers a haptic experience in addition to the visual presence of the artwork
